Engraved Marble, Granite and Slate Stone

Granite and Marble:

These stones are available in 6" x 6" or 5" x 7" oval as standard sizes, other sizes are available by special order. Each stone is engraved with your custom message for a unique gift.

The polished jet black surface enhances the reproduction of photographs with incredible clarity. Granite stones may be used for both interior and exterior applications, whereas marble should only be used indoors.

Our granite stones make for eyecatching floor and wall murals for foyers, fireplace hearths and corporate lobbys. Please call us to inquire about available stone sizes for use as murals.

Slate:

We offer slate in black and grey, and in a variety of sizes. Our choice for slate stone is always Grade A, which offers the highest consistancy of stone thickness, color and surface texture. Consistancy in thickness, color and texture are critical when using slate as flooring murals. Slate normally found at home improvement centers are extremely uneven and flake easily.

Every slate tile we engrave has three protective sealant coats, which means you can use the slate indoors, outdoors and as flooring. If you wish to use your slate as a wall decoration, we will provide holes for hanging.

If we are manufacturing a wall or floor mural we will work directly with you for any size limitations you might have, and cut the slate into custom sizes if required. Your mural will be shipped to you with an installation drawing to ensure a proper fit.

Although slate engraves text, line art and logos with great detail, the textured surface is not the ideal material for photograph reproduction. For photograph reproductions please ask for our marble and granite stones.

Standard sizes for slate are 6" x 6"; 9" x 9" and 12" x 12". Please note that the sizes are slightly smaller after cutting.

Specialized Projects:

Our engraving on marble, granite and stone does not limit us to small projects. We can engrave large scale murals for wall and floors that span multiple tiles. Our equipment allows us to "tile" large text, photographs, logos and line art over any amount of tiles required. Our process also allows us to take into account for the thickness of any size grout line, which gives our murals an old world effect that the mural was made after the tile was installed.

Each tile mural comes to you with a protective sealant already applied and ready for installtion and grouting. An installation drawing comes with each mural to ensure proper placement of the tiles.

Once installed, you treat the tile as you would any normal stone tile, by using standard protective sealants as needed.

Items such as burial urns may also be engraved with stunning clarity.
